After our adventure in the Zambezi valley we head into the interior of Zimbabwe and one of Africa’s largest and greatest national parks – Hwange, where we stay in a very comfortable safari bush camp. We spend a further three days in our own 4x4s and also on foot, getting into the ideal locations to photograph all manner of wildlife, from lion and elephant, to hippo and crocodile.

James’ past saw him working as a Reuters’ photographer in Africa, which saw him capturing a range of subjects - but the wildlife always held a fascination for him. James’s keen eye for detail not only means his photographs are made up of great light and composition but he can pick up on tiny behavioural cues from his subjects.

Joining James in hosting this trip is team member Harry. His love of wildlife is abundantly clear to anyone he spends time with. Having trained as a zoologist, studying birds around the world and photographing them puts him in the perfect position to tell you about their ecology, behaviour, as well as help you get the best images you can.
