Ever wondered why your photographs don’t look quite right, are too bright, too dark, or not sharp? Let our expert guides help you get the most from your camera, and help improve your skills. All our workshops are fully flexible and tailored to you. There are three levels of workshop available; beginners, Skye and pro.
The beginners course is ideal for those looking to get to grips with the very basics of photography and using the controls of your camera. They are run as a continual 7 hour day, either starting at sunrise, finishing at sunset, or running through the middle of the day (the choice is yours, but also dependent on the weather of course).
If you’re already quite comfortable with you camera and looking to improve then our Skye workshop is the most popular service booked. This day can be split into two separate sessions, one at the start and one at the end of the day to try and work with the best available light.
Our pro level workshops are the ultimate learning experience, building on advanced skills and also gives you access to all of our photographic equipment (canon bodies, lenses and range of filters) if you want to experiment and try something new.
Our ultimate Skye experience – the Big Workshop is a 6-day residential workshop covering a wide range of topics and skills. Covering all aspects of landscape photography, plus opportunities to take part in wildlife excursions we’ll help you get the best out of your equipment. The whole photographic process is covered from setting up your camera, to editing your images in the digital darkroom. Suitable for all levels of photographer the Academy is a fast track way to start shooting like a pro.
We run themed weekend workshops throughout the year. These are tailored to specific genres of photography including Seascapes, Eagles in Flight and long Exposures and are run in groups of 3 - 5 people. Aimed at all levels of photographer, these offer the best value for money experience (two days for the price of one!).
A vast majority of photos taken these days are on phones and the latest models pack some seriously good optics capable of taking very high quality images.
