There are few places in the UK that exude the feelings of such beauty and isolation that Assynt, Inverpolly & Coigach do.

Billions of years of history are exposed across this wild and empty landscape with some of the oldest rocks in the world seeing sunlight here. Considering this area has some of the best landscape photographic opportunities available it is surprising how little visited it is, especially during the depths of winter.

We have a huge selection of potential subjects and locations that we can choose from depending on the weather conditions on any given day. To supplement the many great mountainous viewpoints there are some spectacular areas of coastline to explore too. Coastal locations range from rocky cliffs, crags and sea arches, to sandy beaches, lighthouses and intimate abstracts. In short, we will be spoilt for choice!

Start your photographic year off with a bang by joining the Mc2 Photography team with a week of exploration and learning in this often-forgotten corner of Scotland. We’ll supplement our in-the-field shoots with presentations at our beautiful hunting lodge accommodation covering topics such as exposure, lighting, post-processing and more.

His authentic photographic style ensures his images accurately represent the scene he captured - allowing the light to do the work.
