Zimbabwe 2018
Lying on the ground amongst dried hippo dung watching a huge herd of buffalo approach a water hole was one of the highlights of the trip. With only a short stretch of water and a few hippos between us and the buffalo, it was a breathtaking sight watching them emerge from the dust to drink, five deep at times. It brought to mind the old western movies I watched as a kid with the large herds of cattle being driven across the plains.
