within the landscape there are details that get overlooked in the ‘big picture’ it can be very interesting to drill down and extract the detail and with a little manipulation some very pleasing masala-like images result. This one is from some rock detail taken at Garry Beach on a recent Harris and Lewis trip

Hey Phil –
This is so far from my area of understanding – But I love it and its so well executed.

Thanks James, The production has a very relaxing precision about it
This is beautiful – so much in it.
I wasn’t aware that these were a ‘thing’ until recently. I have no idea how you do it! Which bit of the rock did you get this from?

Hi Lynn
It was just an interesting rock in one of the bays on Harris, saw the pattern and took it with this process in mind
An image of the stone can be seen here … https://www.instagram.com/p/B92LhHJAYKw/?igshid=17m70znnb0v92. The process is simple and involves selecting a target area in the donor image, and then a lot of copy/paste and transformations in photoshop
Sounds complicated and Photoshop is a mystery to me! I think I’ll just enjoy your results 😃
