Our Masterclasses are designed to take your photography to the next level – and this one will be based in the stunning Scottish capital of Edinburgh.
This course is not about an individual’s technical prowess or level of experience, as there are no rights or wrongs. It is all about improving imagery through a greater all-round understanding of photography. We will demonstrate how you can dramatically improve your photography by applying certain thought processes and implementing certain practices. This will allow you to establish and develop your own style of imagery.
“Wandering the cobbled streets in the pre-dawn light was amazing, especially as we had the entire city to ourselves.”
This course covers many different genres of photography. We will discuss, put into practice, and look at how they all intersect with each other, giving you a new understanding of how to balance the elements within your scene and giving you new confidence in your skills.
We’ll be staying in the heart of this fantastic city, exploring its streets and secrets, at a time of year when it is literally glowing with atmosphere – Christmas!

“Edinburgh is such a beautiful city, it was great to see it through the eyes of a local and find some more unusual photography locations.”
“This was our first workshop with Mc2 & Skye Photo Academy – but it definitely won’t be our last!”
