Join us for our annual photo holidays to St Kilda, the UK’s only double UNESCO world heritage site.
The islands of the St. Kilda archipelago are known not only for being incredibly remote, but also for the abundance of wildlife found there – which it is duly recognised for with it’s UNESCO world heritage status. With large colonies of gannets and puffins, two unique sub-species (the St. Kilda wren and mouse), and rich seas teeming with marine life, St. Kilda is a wildlife photographers dream.
“The first time I booked with you guys I had the most amazing time. The second time I had reservations that the trip wouldn’t be able to compete with my first, but this proved not to be the case. I’m now looking forward to my third trip! “Dan
We visit St. Kilda each year, and coincide this trip with the height of the bird breeding season, meaning there’ll be plenty of activity for us to photograph. This is a unique opportunity to stay on the remotest part of the UK, experience life on these previously inhabited islands, and photograph the extraordinary wildlife that has now taken over.
Meet your hosts…
Marcus has been a professional photographer for over 15 years. He’s visited some of the most dramatic landscapes on the planet, but it is Scotland that draws him back and where he now calls home.
James‘ past saw him working as a Reuters’ photographer in Africa, capturing a range of subjects – but the wildlife always held a fascination for him. He will be leading the first two trips along with Marcus.
Harry’s love of wildlife is abundantly clear to anyone he spends time with. Trained as a zoologist, studying birds around the world and photographing them, he’s in the perfect position to help you get your best images.
“I feel so lucky to have been given the chance to join you guys on this trip. It was the most amazing experience I have ever had.”
“I saw everything I had hoped to see and learnt a lot more about photography than I had expected.”
“From start to finish the organisation and approach towards the group was superb. “
