I’m pretty sure I held my breath while reading parts of this, even though I knew you’d survived. My favourite image is the one right at the beginning with that unreal silver light on the relatively calm waves. We’ve all had those times when we’ve missed killer shots but your excuse has to be the best ever.

Wow!! Having stood to take images there on a calm day I still had wobbly legs. That must have been some experience- and gut wrenching to lose something so precious. At least you lived to share the tale. Maybe time to get yourself some Paramo waterproofs though!

Wow, Marcus … glad you survived that one! Gotta tell you, I belly laughed so hard I fell backward our of my chair when reading about the wind separating you from your gear. Your writing skills match your photography prowess. For me, experience in getting a photo is worth more than the actual photo. That’s why I hold my photo shoot in Scotland with you guys last October as one of the best I ever had. Although it cost you plenty, I’m sure the experience and the resulting photos were well worth it! Be safe!
