Covid-19 & Mc2 Photography

A statement from Mc2 - James McCormick & Marcus McAdam

Updated 19th February 2021

The rules and regulations surrounding travel across the United Kingdom and further afield are constantly changing. Whilst it can be difficult to keep up, as things currently stand our team on the Isle of Skye are open for business as usual - providing you can legally travel to Skye. We still have plans for trips and workshops for later in 2021 and if you are booked on to any of these and are worried then please get in touch.

Our virtual services continue to grow from strength to strength - our monthly webinar, Mc2 LIVE, has a growing audience and the feedback from viewers has been overwhelming. We will be continuing to develop and improve the show every month, with new features, topics and ways to keep you entertained. We are also continuing to run our online 1-to-1 workshops. These can cover any topic you like, from planning images, to photographic techniques or image processing.

In these uncertain times, it is very difficult to plan too far ahead with our trips for 2021 and beyond, which is incredibly frustrating. We understand that anyone thinking about joining us on one of our trips may be hesitant to commit, so to assist with this situation and make it as low risk as possible, we have updated our cancellation policy for all bookings to the following conditions:

  • Any cancellations made more than 14 days ahead of the start date of a trip will be refunded in full - no questions asked (well we might ask just to be nosey, but this won’t affect the refund). All monies received will be refunded in full (both deposits and balance payments), minus any bank fees.
  • If within the prior 14 days leading up to a trip, a sudden government regulation change prevents us from running the trip, we will refund everything paid to us.
  • In the event of a customer cancelling less than 14 days prior to a trip, we will refund all monies paid on the basis that we can resell the place. If we are unable to refill the place, we will refund any savings on overheads which result from having 1 less person on the trip. For some trips, this can be a reasonable amount (if we can save a hotel room and meals for example), whereas on other trips this is negligible, but we will do what we can.

We want to run as many trips as we can and we want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to book, so we hope these changes are of benefit if you are wanting to join us but are understandably hesitant.

James & Marcus.
